The BC SPCA respectfully acknowledges that our new Vancouver Island Animal Behaviour Centre will be located on the unceded ancestral territory of the Hul’qumi’num speaking Coast Salish peoples, specifically the lands of the Ts’uubaa-asatx (Lake Cowichan) Nation, Halalt, Stz’uminus, Malahat, Spune’luxutth (Penelakut), Lyackson, and Quw’utsun peoples whose historical relationships with the land, and its animals, continue to this day.
